Mobile Cleaning CrewsPartners In Progess' crews of trained custodians perform a variety of cleaning tasks for businesses, offices and private homes throughout Tioga County. As with other PIP training programs, employees are encouraged to move into competitive employment once they are trained and confident in their own abilities. Under the supervision of a qualified instructor, PIP custodians learn proper cleaning techniques, as well as the "soft" skills of responsibility and customer relations. Job Coaching and Placement (Short-term)When individuals with disabilities desire competitive employment, sometimes they need a little help. Using a vast network of cooperating agencies and employers, PIP Employment Specialists match capable job seekers with appropriate jobs in the community. Using a team approach, PIP staff work with the individual's family and support system in procuring training and lessening barriers that may impede employment. When an individual is hired, PIP provides "job coaching" at no cost to the employer. Thanks to PIP, countless Tioga County residents have followed their dream and, at the same time, have provided a dependable workforce to area employers. Supported Employment / Job Support (Long-term)PIP coordinates services with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Tioga County Department of Human Services, and others to ensure a holistic approach and long-term support for individuals entering the workforce.
